Role Overview:
The Volunteers Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Senitent Program, overseeing volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination of activities. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the success of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Recruitment:
– Develop and implement strategies to attract volunteers in various cities for the Senitent Program.
– Collaborate with local community organizations, universities, and online platforms to promote volunteer opportunities.
2. Training and Onboarding:
– Design and conduct orientation and training programs for new volunteers, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute effectively.
– Provide ongoing support and resources to volunteers to enhance their capabilities.
3. Program Coordination:
– Coordinate and schedule Senitent Program activities in different cities, including educational sessions, companionship initiatives, and events.
– Collaborate with program managers to align volunteer efforts with program objectives.
4. Communication and Engagement:
– Maintain regular communication with volunteers to provide updates, share relevant information, and address concerns.
– Foster a sense of community among volunteers and encourage collaboration.
5. Data Management:
– Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, activities, and feedback.
– Generate reports on program metrics, volunteer participation, and impact.
6. Community Outreach:
– Engage with local communities to raise awareness of the Senitent Program and recruit potential volunteers.
– Represent HTCI at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Community Development, Education, or related discipline).
– Proven experience in volunteer coordination, program management, or a related role.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
– Passion for community service and commitment to the well-being of seniors and children.
– Familiarity with local community dynamics in the assigned cities.
